Anime and Manga Club
I have been currently attending the weekly meetings for Lindsay High School's Anime and Manga club. Every Friday at Mr Yang's room the club meets and we plan activities for the day after school. Sometimes we watch anime, sometimes we play video games. Over all, I enjoy the company with many of my friends. I have been attending the club since my sophomore year. When I was a freshmen, I didn't pay much attention to clubs and after school activities. One day I noticed some of my friends were going to the anime and manga club, they invited me to accompany them and I've kept going ever since those days. Normally, we wait for all of the club members to get to B6 and then we proceed to decide what we want to watch for the day. We would usually try to complete an entire anime over time, but this doesn't always happen. Recently, we sometimes bring our gaming consoles and play our favorite games for them. Unsurprisingly these include games based off of Anime and Manga we've watched or read. Games like Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm or J-stars. The Anime and Manga club at LHS is also responsible for funding the purchase of Manga that is to be added to the school library. We don't actively promote Manga while at club meetings, but many of our members check out Manga from the extensive collection at the LHS library.

During my Junior year, I tried out for Cross Country. For several weeks we ran every day after school. Every day was a different route. Sometimes we would run through Lindsay, sometimes we would run near the fields, where I live. Over all, it was a very intriguing experience and it eventually brought me to a realization that I should pursue personal fitness. Some day I hope to reach my own peak physical fitness. I learned through that time that the sport creates a certain sense of camaraderie that feels really special. I decided not to pursue the sport further, however, because I wanted to focus more on my grades. The summer after my Junior year I and my close friend Josef Johnson started to work out every other day, we hoped to put on muscle mass and lower our bodyfat percentage, and we did to a certain degree. My time in Cross Country was truly great, and I enjoyed every second.
